Spring in the Engadine – special rates on offer

Grand Hotel Kronenhof, Pontresina (www.kronenhof.com) may have closed for the winter season last week, but it’s already looking forward to spring/summer.

The hotel reopens in mid June, which is a great time to visit the rugged and unspoilt Upper Engadine, as the fauna and flora awake from their winter hibernation.  Mountain paths, for hiking or mountain biking, are edged with stunning wild flowers and are relatively empty as the summer holiday crowds have yet to appear, while the mountain air has a freshness to it not experienced at any other time of the year.

To add to its appeal, Grand Hotel Kronenhof has a special early bird offer in place from 15 June to 7 July, when rates at the hotel start from CHF395 (approx £275) for two people sharing a double room, which includes a delicious daily breakfast and evening meal in the Grand Restaurant, as well as unlimited access to the Kronenhof Spa (and a 15% discount on all treatments) and unlimited use of all the open mountain railways in the Engadine/St Moritz area.  There is a two-night minimum stay requirement.

For reservations, please call the hotel on +41 81 830 30 30 or visit www.kronenhof.com for more details.
